Thermoblok spacers and traction control throttle body

So got everything installed and all seems great. The intake manifold is cool and the TB is even cooler. But the traction control TB is hot! Isn't that kind of working against the point of having a cool IM and TB if the TCTB is feeding the IM and TB hot air? Shall I just create a TCTB coolant bypass myself or is there a reason this is still running the coolant through and getting hot?

I saw that there was a coolant by-pass in the kit, but I thought that was for the TB?

Perhaps I'm not thinking about this right, but wouldn't there be a few inches of gap between the air intake tube and the TB if the traction control unit was removed from the link? Maybe I'm not following what you wanna remove? I've got the Thermoblock spacers installed and am curious about this topic.

Yes there is, and that's exactly what it's for, but there isn't one for the traction control throttle body.

Like he says above, wouldn't there be a large gap between the intake sleeve and TB? Also, wouldn't I get CELs by removing that since there are sensors on the traction control unit? If not, then adios traction control! Thanks TypeR

I am getting codes following approximately 1/2 hour to an hour of driving since installing the thermoblock. Also when the codes are thrown I am not getting good partial throttle response.
It is as if I need a tune up or timing adjustment. When I reset the computer and the car is cool. If anyone has a clue to a fix, please help
it runs great again.

Swap to a 6MT intake and bye bye traction control! No you won't have CELs however you'd have to find a way to keep the VSA lights from coming on.

you wont have a CEL but you would have both VSA lights on all the time unless you put a resistor on the harness...and then you will have to use the VSA disable button ,because if you get spin the ecu will then throw both VSA lights if it cant stop the wheel spin ...anyway ive done it and its no problem but you can easily bypass the coolant from the VSA

i think you'll find they are heavier than 10.4 often manufactures will give the weight of a wheel in a specific size like 15*6 is prolly 10 lbs...my SSR comps for example ar 14.3 at 17/8

if you don't put the resistor on the harness, besides the lights being on all the time, would anything else happen? Would you still have to press the vsa disable button?>

I was always interested in these types of items like TB and Intake manifold spacers. I'm very curious if it actually works or not. Does anyone know of a intake manifold for the cl type s? Maybe a composite plastic piece that wont heat soak and is much lighter, it seems like these motors have a lot of potential.
