thermo gasket question

would their be a problem with running two intake manifold thermo gaskets? one on top of the other on? having a small clearance issue with my foggers and the p2r fuel rail

no issue as long as u have long enough bolts (enough threads screw into the runners). as for stacking them there will not be any problems. It's basically a really expensive tiny spacer at that point

u got a driving set-up right now...

people who do madddd drifting pop the hood up at the back so there are cracks for the air to swoop through when they're flying sideways.

if only it was rwd

Mine now will burn my hand and the same with the TB,also my cai tube gets warm to the touch.
Cant wait to put the gaskets on the manifold the TB and the spacer.
I'm sure it's going to make my car rip.
I will be gaining more volume in my intake as well in 3 differnt ways.
1) TB spacer adding more intake volume
2) 2 manifold gaskets adding more to the runners
3) The bolts that go threw the upper intake into the lower runners will probablly be able to loose all the washers I had to put on.
So all the heads of the bolts will sit about a half inch lower .
So I will get more volume back there.

Now all I have to do is modify the hood on the under side before I put the intake threw the hood.

I think my car is just to the point where I need to get some heads done, bigger cams something.
I

tb spacer and thermo gaskets won't make any sort of significant power... none that u will notice at least.

so don't get ur hopes up.

when i get my valves adjusted next year I am getting the head popped off and porting the manifold, runner and head... that should get me some power :-).

i would agree u should do that same

They should do wonders for the car in the summer days.

I can tell the difference between the car in the day and when the sun goes down now.
And I think that difference ^ is what I will gain when they are in

So when there in,I let you know if there's a difference.

Did you do all yours at once ?
I am,and I'm doing all the little cooling stuff at the same time .
Then the car should be a little more predictable in the summer days.
You mean to tell me Mr.anal about everything couldn't notice a difference?

the tb spacer only give like 5hp. and thats over time as teh engine gets warm. its more for keeping things cooler than seeing improvements with the but dyno

I'm not expecting hp gains.
I'm expecting less of a loss in hp from the heat.

I will admit for sure tho the manifold thermo gasket makes a significant difference.

on a dyno I tho you most likely wouldn't see (i think) only when driving does it do it's job. but i can be ripping it on the highway... pull off, pop the hood and the manifold (which is the think p2r plenums) i can touch and leave my hand their.

before it was not like that at all

I just seen another heat issue today being by my wheel.
I dont have the center splash on and the heat from the motor radiates right at the cai filter, That can't be good.
