http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/Archives...-1-006254.html . I used a BIC pen taped to the end of the 8 gauge power cable to get through the rubber grommet at the engine firewall. going through the carpet on the floor right infront of the rear seat, i used a hanger to fish the wire through!! the mtx amp i purchased has some sort of a sensor in the speaker line inputs. once it detects a signal, it turns the amp on. so, i didn't have to access the remote turn on lead of the bose amp. i also tapped into the rear speaker wires right before the speakers themselves and it sounds just fine.

amp is mtx thunder 4250D. purchased it because it has the optional volume control unit for an additional $30 so i can control the sub volume from inside the passenger compartment. sub is an old one....2 8 inch rockford fosgates of which i will be replacing very soon.

Glad to see that someone actually used my suggestion about the bic pen taped to the wire. I thought I would for sure get flamed for that. Tried a coat hanger first but it didn't work to well.

There's been also some talk at this link.

still haven't decided. i have 2 12inch mtx subs in a sealed box but the box is just to freakin big. hardly any room left if i leave that in the trunk. so right now i have the 8s. the box is much smaller but is ported that's why i want to change it. i'll probably put some 10s in a sealed box as well....what...i don't know yet! any suggestions?

Yeah get these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1243956066

I just bought one in a 12". One is all I need. The sub is an a/d/s 310rs.2 (10") These have the best SQ, and can get loud if needed. They are 4 ohm Dual voice coil. Do you want SQ or SPL?
