Considering what he/they did, seems like they made out great. Both could have been arrested, he could of been in jail much longer, had a higher bail, never seen the car again.

Maybe they should of stopped in Oklahoma and stayed out of sight, instead of driving?

A couple hours, few cans of spraypaint, and a new paint job is better than a felony charge.

Yea, that car looks to be a bit difficult to HIDE with any success.
I think I would have just parked it overnight somewhere.

Not sure how it is in other states, but in CA if you exceed 99 MPH, you go to jail. And in LA, CA your car may be taken away for street racing.

That's an amazing story. Seems strange to me, they usually don't roadbock and put down speeders across state lines, especially for nothing. I THINKS the cops turned on them, got in behind him, asked them to pull over several times, THEN these guys punched it. So the cops, clearly left in the dust, simply called ahead. With the Orange level, they're lucky it wasn't worse.

I don't think it's that unusual.

On most chases they'll pop your tires if they think you're a threat or PIT you, especially if you are doing something stupid.

I think fleeing an officer at 140mph+ counts as very, very stupid.

Frankly, starting at 30 over, barely avoiding 1 cop (who almost assuredly called ahead), not slowing down or even acknowledging the officer, and then fleeing at twice the speed limit.

Well, honestly what amazes me is that they got off as light as they did.

Oh, I didn't read all that.

I thought they were going so fast that before the troopers could turn around on them and get in behind them, they disappeared across state line.

I'll go back and reread, sounds like an incredible story.
