Testimonial about AEM CAI and heavy rain

Well, today I drove about an hour in some of the heaviest rain I have ever been in. Many people were pulled over due to visibility.

So, first-off, I do not have a bypass valve on my CAI. During the course of my drive I had no choice but to drive through a bunch of monster puddles, and through all of the heavy water on the roads in general. I also was right behind and to the right of a car on the highway that was spraying water right at the front of my car.

To make a long stroy short, my car is now in the shop with a busted engine and I have no idea what I am going to do now......

Haha. Just kidding! No problems at all. And I can honestly tell you that you would have to be SUBMERGED in water to pull up a column of water into your intake. I drove through everything short of that for an hour today with no real choice in the matter.

Sorry if I stressed anyone out with my joke!!!

Real funny. I thought it was kind of weird your engine locked up judging from your topic name but then i read on.

No more scratches thanks to the dumbass who walked on my car and had to pay to have it repainted.

That's why I didnt bother with the bypass valve. Sure its happened to people, but who knows what the hell they were doing to get all that water into their engine.

I read "testimonial" and I figured it worked out great. Then I got to the busted engine part and I kinda got worried.

It sucks down here in Louisiana, you get a thunderstorm that drops 2" of rain in 30 minutes and the storm drains all back up and you are driving through half a foot a water on the roads, sometimes deeper if its in a low spot.

This kinda stuff happens 3-4 times a year so I decided to just get the short ram so I wouldn't have to worry about when it does rain hard like that.

Even with a CAI the chances of extremely minimal, but I just like to have the peace of mind.

Hey JZ, I am with ya on the AEM CAI. I too, was wonmdering about the bi-pass, and decited to fuck it. I remember reading your posts a while back about the bi-pass and how it is useless. I agree. I live in miami, and I too, have been doing some serious driving through the wet weather and no problems at all.

It was funny when you said you had a busted engine, because you stood by your feeling about the bi-pass being worthless, and I figured you'd take back everything you said about the bi-pass
