Tempo Oil Boy / Oil Extractor
Ok, I was just put onto the Temp Oil Boy Oil Extractor, I wish I had know about this thing earlier, since I live in an apartment this is clutch, was gonna order it from boatersworld.com but as it turns out they have a store in paramus nj so I'm see if I can pick one up there.....Anyone who is using this thing to change there. For anyone who has used this thing do you have any pointers or tips....

Where is my super sauce?
There's a number of us that use an oil extractor. Some bought from Griot's like me, and some have the Tempo brand from a boat store. Both seem to be the same product and work well.
Don't forget to change your filter too.
Enjoy!

Adventurist.
It's pretty straightforward. Just do not overpump the extractor or you can blow a seal, the instructions will explain this to you. Makes life so much easier.
BTW, I purchased mine from a local marine boating store, a friend received his from Griot's, same exact brand and build.

I have one from griot's garage and found that I needed to put a cinder block under mine for it to sit down properly, I am not sure if I needed to, but I wanted to make sure the hose was all the way in.
Can someone comment on putting the hose only a few inches down if this works or if I should get a longer hose to go into the dipstick hole?

I always connect the two smaller hoses together and put this between the dip-stick hole and the extractor. You can easily feel that the extractor hose sits against the bottom of the pan.
