Temp gauge

I was trying to reset the maint req light by pushing reset and select at the same time, but had the car running, but when I did this a -2 came up on the temp gauge spot and set the degree of temp back 5 degrees for some reason, does anyone know how to fix???

You changed the variable for the temp sensor. Just repeat what you did and press the select or reset button accordingly, it changes your temp up and down to correct for any +/- temp tolerance.

To reset the MR light, first make sure the ignition is OFF and in position "0". Press RESET and SELECT at the same time with one hand; with the other hand, turn on the ignition to position "2" and wait till the MR light goes out. If the ignition is already in "2" and you press RESET and SELECT, you'll enter the outdoor temp recalibration mode where you can adjust the temp from -3,-2,-1, 0, 1, 2, and 3 degrees from what's displayed on the indicator. In this case, release RESET and SELECT once you get to the calibration temp you want.
