TEINS SS owners, question

I installed the TEIN SS in last weekend and I really haven't had a chance to drive around.

Anyway, I decided to take the car instead of the bus this morning. I get about two blocks from my house, and I hit a quick, sharp dip in the road.

I hear a big "pluuck!!!" from the front suspension area of the car. Naturally I freaked because I haven't really been driving that much since I installed these coilovers. I thought maybe something had gone loose, or maybe we did something wrong.

I pulled over and I push down on the front suspension piece a couple of times and I did a quick visual of what I can see. Nothing seems wrong.

My question is, I have the struts set at 9 up front and 11 in the rear (16 being the softest). Could it possible have been that I bottomed out and I hit the bump stop? The car isn't that low either:

guys let me know if this is a common occurance. Going to jack up the car after work to double check though.

well. with my setup... my wheels can extend beyond the travel of the springs...

so the springs can be just floating on the sleeve if the wheel travels too far.

so the "pluunk" sound can happen what that occurs. when the spring reatches itself to the sleeve or whatever.

i dunno if its like that with TEINs. Id hope it isnt... as Im wanting to swap the ground controls for them.

I heard the sound on the compression of the spring. The way you describe it, it sounds like when your springs are fully extended. Or am I just reading it wrong?
