I am seriously thinking of doing it...however is the group buy for any car. From what I see in the thread it only says 350z's and integra's...but I could be wrong. Also does anyone know if Tein has released the SS w/ the pillow mount for our cars???

I think they already did release the SS w/ the pillow mount. When I purchased my SS, shop already had the price for it. The price was around $1400 or so. However on Tein's website, it only shows it as "now in development". Maybe you can call them?

I wish thy started this group buy bit earlier

I want to know that too. When I got mine installed, shop used the one that was already on the factory suspension. So is there differece between the OEM and Tein's pillow mount?

yeah I got this too, just an FYI that you may have to register on that forum to get these deals:

Dear zeroday,

As an AutomotiveForums.com member, you can currently save 20-50% off
retail prices on all Tein products.

Please note that this is one of a kind mailing and we usually send
information that has a broader appeal, rather than a message that only
concerns those members that modify their vehicles.

However, we felt that we should announce our first effort to bring great
savings to our members on products many of you enjoy. With over 130,000
members and a reach to over 2.5 million auto enthusiasts monthly, AF is
in a great position to offer quality products at great prices.

With our Tein Global group buy you can save
- 50% on all Tein springs (save $100 on a product that costs $200)
- 25% on all Tein coilovers (hundreds of dollars less than any other
internet outlet)
- 20% on EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller)

Please visit http://www.automotiveforums.com for more information.

The web has not yet seen such incredible savings in such availability
ever before.

Oh.. and, Happy New Year! :-)

Sincerely,

The AF Team

I might be way off base but i recall someone telling me that it would negate the need for a separate camber adjustment kit.

Nope...the upper pillow mount does nothing except drop the coilovers slightly so you can fit the EDFC on it. I just got off the phone w/ them and the SS-P won't be ready til atleast the early summer. Anyways...I think I'm gonna get down on the group buy for the SS series. Anyone get the stiffer springs and do the swap w/ the original springs that come w/ the coilovers. Is it even possible or neccassary. What sorta problems would I be looking foward to if I get the teins. Ohh as far as the group buy...I think it ends Feb 1st!!!

I have SS, but in my opinion I don't think you need to change the springs. With the softest setting, it's still stiffer than stock.

You'll have to call that shop and talk to them directly. They had to take down the prices and 'officially' cancel the groupbuy....but unofficially they will still give you the price. They are ordering it on Feb. 1st. The guy at the shop was really helpful, seems like a good deal. He quoted me $845 shipped for the Tein SS for my 1st gen. I decided to buy my Teins from blxmjx from the board. Send him a PM. He sells the Tein SS at $850 shipped, and he'll be able to get them to you quicker than the groupbuy. Some guys on the board have purchased from him and seem to be happy, so thats why I bought them from him
