Talk about a nice, sporty looking interior design

I mean, Italian designers can really wow people with their "finetsa". This is how the new interior of the freshened (ONLY FROM THE INSIDE) 2002 Alfa Romeo 156 looks like:

They decided that the exterior, after 4 years, has kept its own so well that needs no changes! Hehe...

The front looks like a BMW and Jaguar S Type mixed. The side looks like a Saturn.

Alfa Romeo 156

Gavriil,

As an owner of an all original 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider and fan of Italian cars , I appreciate your good taste in cars. I do like the exterior of the 156, but not the interior-it's too funky. Can not wait when they wil be available in the USA.

Me likes the bottom picture. Those wheels look like they will off-set the disgusting third picture.

Really? A current owner?!!

I used to own a 1990 Alfa Romeo A33 when I lived in Europe (a college student at that time). Lots of problems but when it came to handling and engine...oh!

I am really excited about Alfa coming back backed up by GM. Now BMW will have someone to give them a run for their money. Alfa will use the new Sigma platform which will be shared by Saab cars when they get here to the USA. I wish them luck.

The reason I posted the side view of the 156 is so that you all see how Alfa managed to make a 4 door car look like a 2 door by smartly hiding the handles of the rear doors so prolifically. Only Alfa would be able to do that.

true..... but the thing is... the proportions do not look right on the side view. the drivers door looks too small at first. the pic below that of the black one almost tricked me into thining it was a two door. very smooth design.

it does have the "grand prix style" locks on the C-pillar. very cool.

Alfa Romeo

Gavriil,
Yes, I am a current owner and driver. Drive it on nice days only. Had it since Apr. 1958. No major problems. Always got me home. I think it is the most beautiful Alfa Romeo made.
