You should always buy products from vendors who pay to keep this forum running whenever possible

I highly recommend tint from rockblocker. The stuff is thick and it sticks. Oh, and it looks awesome.

I would recommend you smoke tint the bottom half of the taillight, leaving the clear section the same. Iv seen someone around here with the same setup and it looks very nice. Like this..

A lot of black is always sexy. I've been debating if I want to do a full tail light tint. But I'm afraid of getting pulled over them and then having to buy new ones. It'd kind of set me back just for some tail tint. It looks great though

Taken from the Texas DPS website:
any device that impairs the required effectiveness of headlamps, taillamps, reflectors or etc is prohibited. The lights, both front and rear, are made by the manufacturer to meet this safety standard. Putting something, particularly something dark would impair its effectiveness.
Other states surely have similar laws.

Is this easy to install? the one from the link to ebay. I'm planning to get those. Is the tint light illegal for the headlight? Because he's also selling them. Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8597583&rd=1,1.
Thanks!

It's not hard, but it does take a little patience and some time to get it right. Once you figure out the technique on the first light, the second one will go twice as fast.

I'd go with the rockblocker tint, as it's been tested/used by several people w/o any problems. I'd be concerned something you get off ebay would be your average $5 tint roll from walmart cut to size and marked up 200%.

i got mine from rockblocker and they're still as good as new (2 years old).

i've never seen a CL with the headlights blacked out. saw a lexus GS and bmw 6-series convertible with front and back blacked out...nice.

btw, there's a black CL on here that has the whole tail tinted...nice combo (black on black)

i like the sound of bottom tinted top left clear. sounds like it would look amazing on a black cl like mine. i may do it as well after i get inspection done. so is is this stuff just standard window tint? and if so, would it stand up through a car wash? do you guys think it would look too ghetto with my rims and tinted windows(also after inspection)?
