well who are you worried about getting you in trouble? the cops? the smog people? there are tons of ways around both of them if you know what you are doing. Smog shops won't check unless you don't pass, and you will pass. So theres that right now. 99.9% of cops aren't smart enough to tell, and if they are just tell them you left the certificate at home. The chances of you getting in trouble are like .01%

Well the smog is a little bit of a problem but I have place that I can go to that don't really check. It is more the cops. Living in San Jose, and going over to my friends house which is down the street from Ringwood. We were ridding in his IS300 and got pulled over because of the Greddy he had. Now it is legal, and he had the paper work to prove it, but they look for ANY reason to pull you over. The last thing that I want it to get nabbed and have to go to the state board for a smog check. Thanks for your info.

exhaust is a whole different story. Headers aren't something that they are going to notice w/ you driving down the street. You wouldn't have to go to the state board for a smog check for a modified exhaust. No cops in california know the exhaust laws. A new law was passed in january saying modified exhausts are legal as long as they dont' exceed 95 db.

I don't care about how the headers look - just know ceramic-coated ones rock and those Prototype demo ones are ceramic-coated but the production ones are just gonna be boring old stainless steel. How lame that is.

Btw, check out how different the headers on this page look compared to the ones in the pic posted on page 1 of this thread.

I'll probably be getting this, depending on the gains.

Q:
Hi, I was wondering what does by the end of summer means for the Headers, August-October ? Will the dyno be available before production ?

Thanks

A:

Hi Samer,
I've always thought summer ends when school starts, so right around Labor Day is when I plan on having them done. Dyno test info should be available in a couple of weeks. I've sent a prototype set out for independent testing, and am awaiting the results right now.

If the dyno results are good I'm probably getting a set.

Also - NNH - you can't see the difference between the two pics? Look at the front 3 headers on the TL/CL page pic and notice how below the bolt-joint-area there's significantly more downward length to them compared to the pic from the 3 in 1 pic.

If you want ceramic coated headers so badly...
just send your s/s headers to be ceramic coated. :P

Sorry Jrock, i forgot, you don't have a sense of humor. Don't worry, someday someone will make headers so cheap, even you will buy them. Maybe Pep Boys.
