Just a note to the board, Doug is leaving the Honda fold to take the number two position at a Benz dealer in the Northeast. We will miss him down here. It also may spell the end to some of his crazy innovations. I know MM2 will be onboard his supercharged MDX for his trip up there and I think we may eventually see that one released as it is affordable to produce and to the buying masses.

Just thought you'd like to know.

yea, when u say "quickest n/a auto", u should asterisk to say " but slower than any of Dougs modded cars"....just for the sake of accuracy....and thats no bull shit.

he didnt come through on RES or MMII YET,he did however come through on the 3.5L, big time, as far as im concerned...never took anybodys money and ran ,never screwed anybody,he just didnt make the part you want ,and with comments like these, you wonder why he doesnt come around...there are alot of really smart people, that could contribute alot, that just dont come around much, because of the childish turns this board can quickly take.frankly, sometimes, it's embarassing ... . but oh well...he made me an engine that makes the LS1 guys wanna be my friend, everytime i go to the track............nice

A 12 hour bolt on is a stretch, when talking about removing an engine, and I do have a clue as to what, as so eloquently put, I am talking about. Stroking a motor regardless of the method is not a bolt on and anyone in their sane mind would not portray it to be so.

Doug has done well for himself but has not provided one single product useful for the masses (and do not mistake a $2500 parts only mod as available). This is the basis for the criticism. We are an open forum and when someone states that they can provide a product which allows us to make an extra 15lb/ft throughout the rev band and is a bolt on but yet has 1.5 years full nonsense cannot be held reliable.

I have stated that I would front money and sign NDA's but nothing has ever been provided. This indicates that the product would do nothing and until a prototype is provided with an NDA we have to assume that it is not a viable product. To back this is the aspect that I made my own, dyno tested it and saw nothing. Obviously the design may have been different but until a solid mechanism is provided the whole concept must be construed at vaporware.

Well Said Scalbert. I'm sure Doug knows that there are resourceful / knowlegeable people on this board that could have taken over this project. The fact that NO one was ever contacted has to make one think: VAPORWARE !

Sorry to see Doug go,I hope he does well at M-B.As far as the hating goes..........................c'mon people I have spoken to Doug he is a good guy who tried and did not succeed at all of his efforts,I don't think he should be maligned for trying.Jens
