Symphony in my car

Hi,

My 03' CL is sweet car.... I love it....
Last three weeks something happened with the car.

I hear at least five sourses of rattling. One comes from driver's window (upper back part) wind and some noises when it bumps...

The other one "of course" is from cup holder....third one is from right seat.... Another one coming from moonroof....

But the most annoing two come from DASHBOARD...
One of them seems to come from right front airbag area and another one from upper part of center -can't determine for sure-......

You probably think.... that I totalled the car..ah....? Nope....Never did. And I drive 99% on the freeway and carefully... It has 30K on it....

So I getting mad on it.... I hate rattling.... I had infiniti in the past and drove it until 78K - NEVER RATTLED!!!

Is it something unusual with the car, something that easy to fix or I'll have to live with that.... I am from SF...

How about dealers.... Will they pretend deaf if I would ask to fix it....

I can't live with this syphony....

Thanks....

Ruilus

My dealer dealt pretty well with rattles. They believed me and test drove with me to hear them. They said it was the sunroof and part of it was but I think it was from the window sills too.
So I think many dealers approach rattles as important and want to fix them. THere was a service bulletin on the suroof rattles too.
Good luck.

I just had a dash rattle fixed. it was in the center of the dash right at the base of the windshield. Dealer told me it was a problem with TL's and sometimes CL's. They took the windshield out and put some foam strips in between the dash and firewall. fixed. The windshield replacement fixed my windnoise also!!

I had the same(?) middle of dash rattle, and stuffed some foam between the windshield and the dash, and the rattle is gone. I'm pretty good about tracking down rattles and squeaks, and I've had most of the ones decribed in these forums....

I spoke with the dealership in Serramonte. He was nice and promised to take care of it. I will post the results.
Those annoying problems have to do only with poor assembly quality. CL assembled in US, not in Japan. The guys probably forgot that its not pontiac (with all respect)... If so many people complain about same problems, manufacturer should come up with some rattle check up...

Sticking foam here and there is good as a temporary solution, but what will be next? Sticking foam between engine and gear assembly?

If we all can gateher information abour all of our "rattling problems" here and come up with a big list of emails, we can cause acura to change the way they assemble cars.

I beleive that cars at this level of luxury and quality should not have a single rattle for first 80K. After all, we paid for that and not only for 260HP.

Thank you all for reading this,

Ruilus
