I'm looking to buy the comptech sc... did anyone install it themselves??? How much time can it take and any problems doing so?

and about performance, any 1/4 mile times with the sc? With or without the headers.

thanks

do a search. there are plenty of threads that talk about the S/C. If your an auto and dont have headers, your looking in the high 13's for the 1/4 mile with the charger. add the headers and B-pipe and your going to be in the low 13's.

I installed my kit myself and I just took my time over a weekend. The install process isn't that difficult if you have decent mechanical skills. No problems at all. Just take your time and label everything if you're unsure. HurleySurf mixed up the coolant lines and the vacuum lines to the throttle body which is one mistake everyone should learn from.

You can go to the Comptech site and download the install instructions if you haven't already bought yet. http://www.comptechusa.com/install.html There are others, like Smitty, that have done multiple installs. You get into any trouble, you can get advice here easily.

I haven't taken mine to the track yet but my last Dyno was 285whp and I'm only running the standard boost pulley. SC gave the car a whole different personality. I highly recommend

:naughtynaghty: coolant and vacuum lines aren't interchangable , all those lines do seem abit perplexing. Just be carefull during the install .

of course.... ... make sure you solder the ESM into place...disconnect the IMRC.. People have had idle problems... fuel pressure issues.... you have to know what your doing... I recommend you research and do your homework prior to installation.

The kit is as bolt on as them come, however... there is a considerable amount of additional maintanence required.
