Super charger & triple digit speeds

Wow this car really shines at the top end with the super charger. Befor today the fastst I had the car up to was 120 mph (before the super charger), but today I took it up to 145 mph. The car definately had more to give. I had to shut it down because there was a bend at the top of the road I was going up. Don't worry, nobody was around, accept for a Z3 BMW trying to keep up (twenty buss legnths behind me ).

Re: Super charger & triple digit speeds

Dawm, you would have to post this...

I just received an unexpected check in the mail for 4k from my company. Last night, I was wrestling with the thought of installing a SC in my '03 CLS 6sp. But logic had won me over and I decided to pay off some bills instead.

But now...

man i want a supercharger, actually if i had the 4k i would invest in a turbo, CL-p has a lower compresion ration and better suited.

Sorry about that cls6sp03, you know a 6 speed w/s.c. would be even faster than my TL-S .

It's definately different, can't wait to get a b-pipe and exhaust. I'm still w/stock exhaust, I have headers though. I just tightened the throttle cable and the car is much quicker to get up and go, I guess it boosts up faster now.

closest one is probably carlsbad raceway @ 5 fwy and palomar airport road. what part of LA do you live in? Let me know if you want to come down and I'll set up a meet at the drag strip.

On the throttle body there are two cables, one goes to the firewall(accelerator cable), the other to a black box (cruise control). Just loosen the jam nuts on the accelerator cable and take up the slack at the throttle body, if your idle increases you've tightened it too much so back it off a bit.

Sounds good. Let me know when you have time. Temps should be great in January as long as we don't have a Santa Ana blowing through.

Red Rider, won't hurt to ask, but I don't think the deler would recomend it, but all you need is a 12mm wrench. The ramp up of power seems quicker with the slack out of the cable. Have fun!

Make sense, maybe i'll check it out. I do believe they've told me it's as tight as it should be, we'll see. Thanks.
