Sunroof windeflector

Has any one added this accessory to there CL and has it help reduce wind noise or does it increase noise?

it does decrease noise, especially when the sunroof is fully opened. looks good from the side angle against the white.

It works great and also it deflects the sun too in addition to wind noise.

i have one! i like it....even if it leaves only about 6 inches of open space. lessens the wind noise significantly, i think!

It definitely decreased the wind noise. I installed the deflector to lessen the wind noise and it worked great. I bought mine from ahmotor.com. Installation wasn't hard, but it took a while to align the deflector just right.

yes it is functional. the wind noise does dramatically decrease, but i think it ruins the look of the car. anyway, it does help when you're cruising on the highway.

I have it also, I like the look of it. but yeah it decreases the size of the already small sunroof. And it does decrease the noise when the sunroof is open but it increases the noise when you try to pop the back sunroof up. So it is a catch 22.

Yes, it decrease the noise when the roof is fully open, but somewhat increases the noise when the roof is just popped up.

I like the look of it. Sorta differentiate my car from the others when I look down the shopping mall parking lot.

Fully open? My moonroof doesn't fully open. I can slide it partially back or I can tilt it up.
(I always just tilt it up anyway.)

But it only slides back about 1/3rd the way.
Yours opens fully?!

I had the visor but removed it this spring. I like the look of it both on and off but got tired of having so little open space with it on.
One thing though, if you have it on and are thinking of taking it off, be prepared to find your paint scratched underneath. Had to have scratches (some of which were deep)
removed. I still can see where the visor was.

Mine only opens about a 2/3rds of the way. I read somewhere this is normal due to the design of roof.
I also thought I read somewhere that the 2002 sunroof was redesigned fixing the original design. Anyone hear this?

My shit only opens like between 1/4 and 1/2 of the way. And when press the button to close it it lets out a bit of a sticky-shreik sound as it starts to close.

I think I'll stick to tilting it like I usually do.

Take it back to the dealer...they'll fix it. That sounds like a defect which will be covered under warranty.
Why live with it???
