Sunroof Opening Question

I am considering purchasing a CL-S and have a question about sunroof opening. It only opens 4-5 inches? I looked at the car the other day but didn't think to open the sunroof. I really want the sunroof, it just doesn't seem wworth it if it only open so little. Any comments from owners.

he he.... so true

I have no problems with the moonroof, works fine for me. It was the same in my CL. From what I've noticed, most power moonroofs that flip up don't open up too far......

my '93 Infiniti G20 sunroof opens all the way, not 3/4 of the way, and it's flip up also...but the fact that it's a '93 vs. our '01's/02's makes me so angry...the design should have been better...they could've angled the sunroof tracks downward a bit to compensate for the roof angle while lowering the rear seats a bit to compensate for the sacrificed use of the ceiling in the cabin for the angled tracks...and it's too bad that my less than $20K car back in '93 can offer something that a $30K car in '01 can't

I meant that it doesn't flip up a lot, not that it doesn't slide all the way. His original question was about the flip-up part right (4-5 inches?). Most manual flip-ups flip up more then the power ones.....

Does anyone really flip up their roof? I end up either opening the roof or running the auto climate controls.

I usually flip up my sunroof and crack the cover and the windows when it is parked in the sun on a hot day to let the hot air out. It really makes a difference when I get back to the car and get in. Doesn't seem as hot as if it was completely closed up.

I am sorry I wasnt clear the first time I asked this question. When you slide open your moonroof how far should it open. Does it open fully, or just 4-5 inches.

Thanks
Ray

It slides about 3/4 of the way back... when it is fully opened, it looks like it can still go another few inches, but it doesn't. Get used to it
