Summer Sunday So.Cali BBQ: Irvine Park Ideas
Some have expressed interest in a BBQ
at Irvine park (Harvard ave.& Culver)...so i thought i might make a topic to share ideas...
ALL OF CALI/AZ/NV, heck the western hemisphere is INVITED, except for the 'Stang guys. haha
As usual, i'll be out there to scope out the park sometime...but i can vouch that its a *huge* drive-in type of park

What kind of date are we talkin' about here? Please say late summer 
By then my friend should be back in San Diego and I can justify the trip. May even have new tires if I'm lucky.
Plus, it's nasty hot here in July/August so it'd be good to get away!!

1) Sunday May 27th Memorial Weekend..
I think this could be a little soon from the previous meet? But it's such a perfect day for the occasion though
2) Damn, July 4th is a Wednesday...shucks
July 1st Sunday? (aka Canada day hahaha)
3) Letsee Sept 2 (Sunday Labor Day weekend)

remember something about hitting vacation days though...lots of people and a lot of members would most likely be doing a family thing.?? near those days is cool but probably not on that day. IMO

Cops tend to work a lot of overtime on holidays defending the world from people doing 45 in a 40. Also, most public places like parks, Spectrum, etc. will be packed on a holiday weekend.

I was actually thinking of another idea. How about we have "impromptu-style" meets every once in a while between all of the "big meets" like the BBQ meet? I say we DONT do it between June 23rd and July 1st since I will be in Cancun that week for my senior trip. If you guys decide to have it that week though...Kavex I'm comin after you!
j/kBtw, were we ever gonna go to Six Flags or Disneyland or whatever? That sounds like fun(although the Six Flags drive would be less than exciting)...

I think the date is all up to you guys. If you guys want to do it in a week or two, thats cool, if you want to do it in a couple months thats cool too. Contrary to Kavex's popular belief, this is a democracy not a dictatorship
