Suggestions on install prices

I called the dealership for prices on headers and springs. This is what I found. We only have two dealerships and this was the cheaper of the two.

Headers - $1249.00 + $150 install
Springs - $287.00 + $400 install

The thing is that they warranty the installation up to 12 months if the parts are bought through them.

I was thinking of buying the headers from www.c-c-c.net for $974.99 + $150 install. Then I will buy the springs through them.

Any suggestions?

Header is a none moving part.. I would go for the cheaper option.

Springs $ 299.95 for the springs + $ 255.00 for the install = $ 554.95 + tax

Headers $1099.95 for the headers + $255.00 for the install $ = 1319.95 + tax

Those are Park Ave. Acura's prices in NJ.

Your quote for the spring install is much to high. Also even PAA's $255 for the install of the headers is a bit too much.

I'd buy everything from www.c-c-c.net , it's gonna be tough to find them cheaper then they cost there.

I had my Comptech Springs installed by Tischer Acura in Laurel, MD for $498. That price included springs and labor.

FYR I paid $250 on the headers and $200 for the springs. Headers were at PAA, springs was a local shop.

BTW, just so you know this is probably the lowest you'll ever see these headers go. Comptech is very tight with their prices, and we got a one off opportunity to sell them at this price... so if you really are thinking about the CT headers, nows the time....

Yeah the springs price is a bit more believable but the price for the headers install did seem a bit high to me. PAA is still the best though.

However its an Acura dealer so labor is always gonna be higher then a local shop.

Don't worry juniorbean, I'm already sold. I think I will just wait on the springs a little longer and see if I can find a local shop to do them. They quoted me 1 hour per spring. I thought this was a little long though. I just wanted to get them both done at the same time. Oh well, no hurry.

Buy the parts and DIY. That will save you a lot.

I'd do the headers by myself before I'd mess with a spring install.

I am not much of a DIY-er, but I have a friend who works on his car all the time, so he helped me with my header install, for the most part, very easy. For the springs, I had a local shop install my CT's for $120.. Good luck

$1,000 versus $498? Isn't that twice as much?? No doubt the Tein suspension is nice, but personally I don't want a drop lower than what I have with my Comptechs.

I paid $950 for the Tein SS installed, and another $60 for EDFC unit installation. My total for everything (Tein SS, EDFC Unit, installation) was $1340 at Garage Kwai in Chicago.

Nah your stock shocks can last for a decent amount of time with the CT Springs on em.
