Lots of people have. Do a search in either car talk or the a/v section and you should find pretty good instructions

i was just wondering, do our head units have fuses, so if like the head unit stops sending signal to only 1 of the speakers in the car, can this be fixed without relacing the head unit..?

nope ... if the fuse is blown, the whole unit goes out. If one of the channel doesn't work, the head unit is screwed, but in our case ... dont forget the problem may be with the stock amp.

Yes. You could have a "channel" f^cked up or a.k.a. a "blown" one, for whatever reason. If you have one that no signal is gooing to that/those speakers or the signal is very distored. The same could be true of any car radio. It's usually not worth it to repair the unit then to go out anbd buy another one.

Thats my understanding tho.

why a free air sub?? I dont like the way the bass sounds. If you like tight bass then go with some 10' sealed enclosure sub's. Again, if you want to consume the least amount then go with one and u'r sh^t will sound great. Thats my taste tho.

I have heard the EV 15's running free air before & the bass is not as tight as 10' but you'd be amazed how tight it really is. I'll keep u posted when it's done.
