heres the situation im goin to be on driving probation for one year due to too many points i cant get any tickets in that one year time not even a fix it ticket, but just recently my friend gave me his apex n1 exhaust aoff his 00 accord, i WAS planning to put it on my 03 cl but one of my friend said it was not street legal and that it would not pass smog , he gave me the mufflers and i was going to put on custom 2.5 in piping on is this exhasut truly legal or is the 2.5 inch piping illegal what is not steet legal on the apex n1 exhaust, the 2.5 in piping the mufflers i dont know? and if i do put on the exhasut with custom 2.5 in piping will i still be able to pass smog? i live on southern cali if that helps? plz any response would be helpful...

You can do (almost) anything you want behind the cataltic converter. Mufflers are not a problem in So Cal.

im sure it all depends on the state that you live in... i live in jersey and i have no cats. i have never been hassled over it either ( watch i get a $5000 fine tonight lol)

you guys got some pretty strict laws out in cali..

I would honestly call your local bureau of motor vehicles before I believed what someone typed to me on the internet.

but in all Honesty as stated above... there is no way in hell it will NOT pass a smog test.

P.S.if you got some points, i would not even think about putting that muffler on.. because all it is going to do is make you want to jump on the throttle and hear that muffler scream.

^^^ ya and when you have that on your car its just gonna draw more attention to you...say your in a pack of people speeding...hes gonna get you cause your bling bling rims and your exhaust...if you had just the rims hes not gonna see and hear you just see so id say big negative to aftermarket exhaust for you right now...

it will pass smog... noise pollution is a horse of a diffrent color... you may get an asshole cop...

It is all legal, don't worry. As long as you have zero modifications before or on the cat, it will PASS smog and be street legal.

^^^ As long as it passes noise levels. Smog won't be an issue as catback does not affect smog levels.

Put them on, if you think you'll have a problem with the noise, swap them out. You should be fine with the smog issue.
