My boy just got a Stratus RT. Its automatic but it has the sport shift like we have. Do you think i will have any trouble beating him in a race?

Is it coupe or sedan? Either one, it has "only" 200hp and about 200lbs lighter than your CL-S, so I think you can still easily beat it.

 

Not even in his wildest dream would the CLS lose to the Stratus R/T. It only has 200 HP and 0-60 is rated at 7.7 sec. The car is heavy one.

 

Just so you know: Stratus R/T=Eclipse GT.

 

I drove both before buying my CL-S (having owned a 98 Avenger, which is now the Stratus Coupe I wanted to see what improvements had been made). Needless to say, while the R/T is by far a MUCH, MUCH better car than the Avenger was, there is absolutely no way it could beat a CL-S, unless of course, the Acura was in reverse :P

I had a run in with one of those... The CL Premium can take it. Stopped at a light on 422E, he floored it, so did I... I had him by three car lengths @ 85. I quit after that.
