Strange issue with engine.

Hello,
7-10k miles I got a valve lash adjustment on my 2003 cl type s 6mt. Car is currently at 246k.
after the adjustment, I noticed the engine sounded dead quiet, had slight bit more power and I went from 20 mpg to 23-24mpg.
however, over a few thousand miles after the adjustment, I noticed that 5–7 mins after driving on a cold engine that’s warmed up, the car will buck at around 2k rpm. I just thought maybe my friend messed up on an intake valve...this sensation of bucking or Rpm suddenly dropping slightly and slight bucking is especially evident when the a/c compressor is on.

i had a small pull against a friend a few weeks back, 244k, and the next day my CEL was on. I got it checked and it was fuel related. Said something about running rich. However, the light turned off by itself in 30-40 miles of driving and turning the car off.

Considered my self lucky.
well, more recently, a day ago, I noticed my car running a bit odd during steady speed and rpm. So at 55 mph and 1850-1900 rpm, I’ll feel that the engine is losing power VERY SLIGHTLY, but it comes back. Some sort of hesitation...the loss of power results in just 50-80 rpm loss but returns
Today I got a CEL again, and I just kept driving around. I turned the car off, came back a few hours later and was going home and noticed the CEL light was off again. But on the way home it kept doing the hesitation thing once or twice until I turned the ac off.

not sure if I need new fuel injectors... we’ve replaced a coil pack that was bad 15-20k miles ago n the rest fired fine so I know it’s not a spark issue. Especially since we replaced the plugs during valve lash adjustment with ngk.

i admit sometimes I run really low on gas n not too long ago my car nearly died because I forgot my money at home. So not sure if I messed up an injector.
i use only 93 octane and run fuel injector cleaner,(lucas) and seafoam thru there very often.

Next time the cel comes on, get the code read instead of hope for the cel to go off. Best way to diagnose a car problem is to let the car tell you what's wrong or point you in the right direction.

I agree, it's hard to diagnose the fuel injectors if it's not throwing a symptom...
it's hard to diagnose the fuel pump if it's not throwing a symptom....

if the car is running rich, perhaps it an 02 sensor
