Stock Stereo deck with Aftermarket Unit

Have anyone been able to keep there "stock" deck with a aftermarket head unit?

Such as in this picture

Have anyone been able to keep there "stock" deck with a aftermarket head unit in one?

Such as in this picture (Something like this but with a motorized in-dash unit)

I'm confused, could you elaborate, what you're trying to do sounds retarded.

Kepps the Sotck deck w/ aftermarket headunit? That's like having a second engine in your car that won't be in use.

lol, I am just trying to figure out how did someone actually put a aftermarket headunit in the CL without taking out the "Stock" head-units.

no, I am talking about keeping the original "Stock head unit" and adding and aftermarket one at the slide out tray area. (Needs to be modified for fit)

Why would you want to do that? What about wiring? won't you need some sort of splitter that will turn the wiring harness into two wiring harnesses. Do those even exist?

You'll need custom wiring, TRUST ME, I asked before I had this deck put in. There is no way to fit a deck in the slider area unless you want to chip away at your dash. I wanted to keep the 6-disk in dash cd player and have it ran as an AUX unit, and that wouldn't have worked without custom wiring and cutting. So, I opted out.
