stock rims opinion

i am looking for your opinions on what stock cl rim looks better. the standard 5 star or the dual six spoke rim? (

i have a blue 2003 cl with 16 inch 5 star and looking to get 17 inch stock rims.

all replies would be greatly appreciated. i am torn between both and i am having a difficult time deciding which i will go with. let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

thanks in advance

u should get the new 18" acura wheels they put on the 04 TL, now those are some sweet wheels!

they are an extra option for the TL at $1500, priced from the "Build and Price" feature on acura's website.

if you go to this link:

http://www.acura.com/models/model_sp....asp?module=tl

and scroll down to the "Exterior Accessories" section, you'll see they have optional 18" wheels that come with high performance summer tires.

this is the pic of the rim you see if you build and price a TL with the optional 18" rim:

2003 CL Type S rims are the best stock CL rims IMO.

The five spoke rims jut out slightly so its easy to scrape curbs with 'em. I'd go with the newer rims.

01's... Why?

Because I have a set of chrome ones sitting in my garage.

I like my 01's better as well. More polished looking. I've had people ask what aftermarket wheel they are! (Enkei's of course)!I'm sure if I had an 03 I'd like those better.

I think the 01 CL-S wheels look better than the 03's, but they do get curb rash very easily. That could probably be fixed with a wider tire with a rim protector however.

I switched out my 03 Type S rims for 03 TLS rims. They look very similar to the 01-02 CLS rims but do not scratch as easily.

I have the 03 type S rims and have not had an issue yet but I don't put the car through any auto car washes and I have appreciated the idea of the tip down mirror.

I would like chrome but I am waiting to see if the 18" TL wheels are going to fit.

Sunnyside in Nashua had a set of 01' type S wheels that they had sent out and chromed and I was so tempted...they looked nice but I was only thinking about getting chrome wheels....
