x2, but also a heavier pully also helps to dampen out any vibrations that you could possibly feel
and any noise/harmonics from the accesories

and read what friesm2000 wrote. its easier to mold the crank pulley than to cut aluminum, its faster and cheaper.

i agree with friesm2000, but i have not had any noise issues. and our cranks are internally balanced. so u dont have to worry about any harmonic balancer and what not

not saying that you will have noise issues, but there is a higher possibility

also they are more durable for various conditions and not so good auto techs

also remember they are making millions of the pullies a year, so a small decrease in production cost adds up REAL FAST
and i much rather have them skimp on a part like this that is easily replaced then say skipping on the crankshaft itself (like how GM wanted a cast crank for the Saturn VUE) and we crack the crankshaft instead

Con for the underdrive would be the alt problem that was discusses.
Stock light weight pulley no problems for the autos. For us 6spds we would have to rev match a bit differently. But I had no problems with my stock size light weight pulley. Haven't tried out the option pulley yet. Now back to traffic safety school for me

the only reason im doing the pulley now is because im doing the alternator (130amp) because my other one is done so I hope to cancel out the effect of the underdrive pulley (hope).

back to my question you take the harmonic balancer off and throw it out (sorry for my lack on knowledge but ive never done this mod!)

you don't need it anymore cause the light weight pulley replaces it, unless of course you might want to go back to stock one day

might also be able to sell it too, also it works great for a paper weight too, just depends on what you want to do with it afterwards

the little bit of rubber on the stock pulley can let go then the outer ring works it way off,but i have never seen that with a honda one though, it is usually the domestic cars that do that though

Thats funny you say that, Ive noticed that Caddys are usually the ones getting pulled over on the interstates. Most of them do 90 on I95 here.

I had a 91 Lincoln continental it was huge heat score too, but it was slow as hell the caddy was fast not like the CL but I Never get pulled over in the CL I went by a cop the other day On my way home from work doin 90 and he didnt chase although it was 4am he was probably sleeping on the jod LOL , but thats one of the reasons I like the cl so much I dont know if its luck or the look of the car but I dont really care as long as I dont get pulled over

ever since I got my CL i have not had a cop even look like they wanted to pull me over.

Plus my mom is the registered owner for insurance purposes so if they run the plate they will see her record... which is perfect. lol i luv it

but as for the pulley... does it increase noise (hell no, maight even have gotten quieter with the gatorbacks), does it make a LIL less power (yes, only noticeable if ur stopped and have a/c on), does it make the car faster (definitely), is it easy to install (yes as long as u can get the damn nut off), will i ever go back to oem (never ever ever), is this the best mod for the $ (YES)

yea that's why I left mine on. :-( I don't wanna be a heat score, po po here have pickles up their asses and if they're having a shitty day they'll make something up and search ur entire car (usually fucking something up). so it's just not worth it for me

what?? there are 2 screws that go under the bumper.. that's how it is on my car.. no holes have been drilling into the actual painted bumper itself.

is it different on the TL, I cannot see it being any different. go check and I bet ull see 2 lil holes waiting to hold up ur plate :-)

but also it is not like those two bolts for the front plate hold the plate bracket on very well anyways, kinda flimsy, quite often the very top is not even touching the bumper itself, just from the plastic being old and taking a set

I would get pulled over all the time If I didnt Have a front plate, My windows are 15% all the way around.

And the normal plate mount does screw into the bumper, I made My own plate mount looks better doesnt ruin the bumper , I put two screws in but youd never see them

Raja that is sick but u took it out when your were almost done?? your crazy LOL

yup, i bout the cl as a parts car. really only wanted the trans. but the price i paid for it and the money to fix it was still cheap as hell so i decided to keep it. and gonna put my turbo kit on it. the plan for the tl was 9-11psi. something fun but dd. same plan for the cl but now i want to go all out. so i will be getting a bigger intercooler. plus the extra wear and tear on our cheap autos isnt a good idea.

i got one slim fan that im gonna be putting in

I've been driving for 8-9 years now with no front plate and never been pulled over or it even mentioned. When i got my front windows tinted tho i got pulled over 2 times in the first week and just got them removed. I cant stand using a front plate on the Cl tho.

The front plates are hideous but I need one here otherwise Ill get pulled over for some nonsense.

Seeing the front mount makes me go back to wanting to boost my car. For the past few days all Ive been thinking of was going all motor instead, but the front mount is fucking mean looking.

Even if I cant get traction, at least I can scare all the ricers out of racing me
