stock exhaust tip

What material is the stock exhaust tip made out of. Chrome? Alum? Stainless? Any ideas?

Thought it was stainless steel? I think you can cross chrome of the list of choices, though.

I use meguires hot wheels wheel cleaner on them, seems to work good.
