hello there. i was wondering if anybody had any idea where the stock amp would be. does anyone have pictures? thanks. i have an 01 non navi

 

isnt it in the trunk between the 2 speakers in the back? stick your head in the trunk and look up it should be there

 

the amp is located behind the jack. peel back the carpet and take out the jack, then look to the left side of the metal frame. if you put your finger back there you should feel it.

 

Yep it's on the passenger side rear trunk. Behind the jack. To access it you need to take out the jack, then the tools, then the trim panels, & there it will be.

Just to clarify if there is an external amplifier built into the system (NAVI and Non/NAVI) Does that mean that we could potentially scrap the stock amp for a better unit and upgrade the speakers as well?

I thought it was only on the TL.

 

does anyone know how someone would take apart the trunk to get to the amp? i checked and i could only touch it, but i cant see it becasue the jack holder is blocking the view of the amp. am i even touching the amp? somebody please give me directions so that i can put some subs in. thank you

 

What we need here is someone with a Hanes or Chilton to scan the schematics and the how tos!
