Stereo Error Message
Stereo Error Message
While recently on vacation my CL was parked in the garage and during the time away the battery died. It was easy to jump the car but now I have an error message on the stereo system that won't go away. I have no idea how long the battery was dead, could have been up to six days. I also do not live in an area with an Acura dealer to just drive in and ask for assistance. Anyone else ever have this occur?
This will occur anytime the battery is disconnected or goes dead. Did you buy your CL used? If you bought it new Acura should have given you a card with your "Radio Code" on it as well as your "Navigation Code", if your car has Navi.
If you bought it used the previous owner should of had this card and transferred it over to you. Usually it is kept in the Leather case that should contain all of your cars manuals.
If you find this card just enter the radio code using the numbers and you should be fine.
If you don’t have the card you may be able to call the closest dealer and give them your VIN# and information.
