Stereo Code ?

I was just checking this CLS and tried to turn on the stereo but it flashed with "code" or something like that. Do I need a password or special code to turn on the stereo or play a cd ? If I dont know the code, can I still play any cds ? Also, how would I be able to get a new code or reset the stereo or basically, how can I play some cds on the bose system ??

the battery was turned off, disconnected or something like that. i think you have 3-4 tries to get it right. if you don't, you have to take it to the dealership.

You can try checking in your owners bible for a plastic card that should have your radio code and or navi code.

Thanks for the reply, I am not the thief but that was a good laugh. Humor around here is always good, but my friend was I guess looking to see how to clear his headlights and when he wasn't looking, I sneaked into the car and tried to test out the BOSE ! =)
But it started doing this code thing so I thought I broke it or something, but I guess I didnt. So one or he can go to the dealer and just give them the VIN # and they can decode it ? Thats not bad of an theft prevention method.

No tickee, no washee. When you legitimately own a CL you are given cards on which the codes live. So the antitheft system does work CBK. Hah
