Stand and Deliver, Mr. Acura
Is there a way i can get Acura to extend my warranty to 7yr/107k miles like everyone else? I have an 03 5AT that wasn't recalled for the tranny, however i just had the tranny replaced with the same issues everyone else has had numerous times... it is very unfair that I have to sell my car before 50k miles (for fear of the tranny crapping out afterwards) just because acura "thought" they fixed a problem that they really didn't... by the way i am putting on the chrome rims and posting pics by the weekend, i decided to put the rims on because i got another car for when its unacceptable chrome weather http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...059199398&rd=1, Now i can sell my 16" CL-p wheels...anyone interested in a winter set? abt 65-75% tread... stock michelins... GOT ME A PS3 TODAY!!!!

What's your current mileage? You have until 56K to purchase an extended warranty. At least that was when I got mine.

bad
My car has 32k and i dont see why when my car obviously has the same problem as all the others, i get a 50k warranty and they get 100k... even if they just cover the tranny til 100k that would at least be acceptable... my car looks so sweet now (silver with the OEM spoiler and the chrome 02 TLs wheels), and to have to give up at 50k, that would be no fun... but hey maybe something else will catch my eye by then, maybe with a little better tranny...

oh yeah and...
Just so you guys don't think I'm totally retarded, I put the chromes on to sell the CLp 16's to someone hopefully as a winter set...i don't feel like switching back and forth every winter, and besides i just picked up an "extra" car for everyday driving, as i now see the acura may better hold up not being used as such...it was an insane deal...look... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...9199398&rd=1,1

Yeah but acura redesigned the tranny so it wont fail anymore. Anyone had a tranny installed since 02/05 hasnt had a singal failure yet. Acuras are great cars and are known to last for a long time the only thing before was to worry about the tranny and now that thats fixed your good to go. I mean think about when have you ever heard someone say there VTEC has failed?

There have been plenty of faild replacements.

Search IMRC. It's not Vtec but it fails causing a huge loss in power at Vtec engagement in the J32A2.
