Stainless steel exhausts...

Hey ya'll, I started a thread about this in wash and wax incase anyone didn't see...

I have these weird white spots on my stainless steel exhaust tips (Apex'i catback). In any case, eagle one chrome polish won't get 'em off, and I can't scratch seem to scratch 'em off with my nails. It almost looks like white paint.

Someone said it was acidic condensation build up...

Can anyone help me out?

its corrosion, try mothers or meguiars mag and aluminum polish, also they works on clear plastics that have turned yellow and look nasty, wipe on and buff off.

looks like corrosion usually form small rocks and sand on the road sticking to the pipes, try some of the things other suggested the only other thing to do is to take it off and get it repolished, its a pain, personally i'm not that picky when it comes to things like that it happens on every car and to me cars are ment to be driven so things like that don't bother me one bit. like i said thats just me but try the mag and aluminum polish but the only thing i can think of that will take that off is a professional polish job, its expensive i know

Well, unless it's going to get worse, I don't think it bothers me that much. I've lived w/ it for this long right?

Anyone know how much a polish would cost? And would they be able to just do it with the exhaust on the car? Or would I have to take 'em off? (they're welded on )
