Ok I see, so I want a wheel with a higher offset. Is +45mm good enough? I saw a few people running 18x8 wheels with +42 and +45 offsets, but not Advans (AVS). I can't seem to find anyone with a CL running AVS wheels.
Depeding on your drop, u'll have to figure out for yourself. bobowah runs a +45 offset on 18x8 rims. They are OZ SuperLeggerras, and he rubs(ed).

Advan rims are expensive Are u looking a the Model 5 (5 pair of grouped spokes?) I like those rims excet think they are curb-prone

in response to this... I do have 225/45/18 in combination with the +45 offset I get rubbing on the outer part of the wheel well... in the rear (fender and bumper). It's rolled now... in odd ocassions I do get rubbing...

BUt again my car is low... I raised the rears... I can have passengers now... but with a limited weight limit... I can hold one 250 lb passenger in addition to me... no rubbing...

Then in odd ocassions... 3 passengers who weight about a total of 450 lbs. But if I exceed a certain weight the car is low again.

I do have some rubbing in the front left wheel well on a plastic tab which holds the rock guard...I removed it and it does not rub as much but it flaps in the wind at high speed...

Again this might be attributed to the large tire diameter...

MORAL Of this story. If u get 18x8 tires, get it with a high offset and 235/40/18 tires <---- this is close to stock so the speedometer won't be horribly off.

Well I can get the Advan VS-5 rims for a good price. I have neuspeed springs, but haven't installed them yet. I might sell them and go with comptechs. Here's the link to a pic of the rims. They dont stick out as much as the Model 5's
