SSR GT1 rims

Okay people, I'd like to purchase the 18" SSR GT1. What kind of setup should I get so as not to have any rubbing with the comptech springs?

Wheel width 7.5" or 8"? Tire size 225/40 or 225/45?

Thanks for all the help.

get the 7.5 one.. that way you could use either 225/40 or 225/45 which ever one you find for a better price..

the 18x7.5 has a +45 offset, so with comptech springs on the CLS, you'll have no rubbing..

The 7.5s will be a safer option with respect to rubbing. And as mentioned, they will allow the 225/45/18s with no rubbing issues for the most part.
I have 225/45/18s with HR OE fronts and Comptech Rears with no rubbing. The handling improvement with the new springs (and konis) is well worth the cost.
But anyway . . . those are nice rims. Enjoy with your drop.

If ur going to get them make sure they're 7 1/2 wide and get 235/40 18 u would be .001 % off of stock diameter.

ooops I take that back get the 225/45 ZR 18 ur in Jersey and need more sidewall for those beloved potholes

235_40_18 has same height has 215_5o_17 (our stock), 225_45_18 is 5mm taller... U may have rubbing problems if U go too low w/ certain springs like Eibach Sportline.

I have 235_40_18s w/ Eibach Sportline, no rubbing w/ rolled fenders...
