I knew the battery died, because I also had to enter the radio Code. Anyone know why this light might have come on? The dealer says they have to charge just to see whats causing the problem....

 

The same thing happened to me. Any ideas on how to reset this guys?

when the SRS light on , basically all of ur airbags are sleeping. there could be a lot of reasons to cause this. the most frequent ones are : If you have aftermarket sound system. the wires might be close to the sensors or might be interupt with some of them sensors. OR if u put a cellphone or digital camara or other electirc devices on your passenger seat or near your center console that might cause it to come on too.
There is really not a final solution to it as far as i know. Dealer might replace the sensor and reset the SRS light. But sooner or later it is gonna be on again.

 

I did have a problem with the instrument panel fuse. When I replaced it, the SRS light came on. I will just have to bring it to the dealer to have it reset.

My battery got weak with VERY slow/no cranking, and when it was replaced the SRS light was on. Followthe directions on how to reset it and if there is some other problem in the SRS system, it will come back on. 99% chance it was caused by the voltage drop from the bad battery.

shoot, thanks for all your help guys.... my thread was dying, so i was worried that no one knew.

 

I went to PAA less then 2 weeks ago to get my srs sensor reset, they said it was bc my battery had a weak voltage count. I replaced the battery and 2 days later my srs light came on again. Ill be giving them a call this week for another rescedule. Thanks for that site
