I've seen it too, but it was because I had stuff on the passenger seat...

He's refering to the red SRS light which comes on when there is trouble with the SRS system. The light that comes on if you have something in the passenger seat says "Side Airbag Off" and lights up amber.

yea i think it might be the warning for when the passenger is not properly sitting in the seat so it shuts off the airbag until the passenger is seated correctly. i know my parents '01 mdx is like that, but i think it might be a different light that lights up, cant remember

If the RED SRS light that says "SRS" not "Side Airbag Off" comes on, then none of the airbags will deploy. Have this issue taken care of quickly, as it could mean your life.

Happened my CL-S 9-12 months ago. One morning i started the car and the red SRS light remained illuminated. Lucky enough I had service schedualed the following day and dealership resolved the issue. I agree with 03CoupeV6, have it checked out immediately. I believe the dealership replaced a sensor and because it was a possible safety issue it was completed at no charge. Not sure though, just finished my offive remodel and the "CL file" is in some box.

I had this happen in my CL-S about 6 months ago. It turned out to be a faulty seatbelt buckle (the part that has the red button to release it). It is definitely something to get checked out. Luckily mine is still under warranty and it was fixed the same time they put in my new tranny (46k on the original).

ok this just happened to me a few days ago as well. It won't go away. Should I do the SRS Reset, or should I take it to the dealer? I'm out of warranty by the way, and I've heard it costs like $500 to fix this shit.

Airbags don't save lives, seatbelts save lives. Airbags just keep the plastic surgery away!!

It depends, if it just needs reset it might be free or at least really cheap. But if something is broken take out your credit card.
