Squeek from rear springs.

ever since I did my tire rotation last weekend i've had a bad squeek comming from the rear springs. I can't come up w/ a logical explanation and from inspection all bushings and such look intact. Would spraying some wd-40 maybe help?

did you check to make sure all your bolts were tightened, like on the control arms?

I dont know if you got bushings or camber kit or what not, but my legend squeaked when i would go over big bumps like speed bumps and my friend looked at it and told me my control arm was slightly moving, so i dunno, thought it'd be worth it to look

have you tried rotating them back to what they were before the squeeking? that way you know that the problem is not the tires/rims...since it wasnt squeeking before the rotation.

Here's something to try...Lift up the rear and spray the bushings in the mounts on the control arms. That's temporarily. But prolly have to grease it since over the years...it wears down.

I'm most positive this is your prob. I had the same squeak, first thought it was the struts, then thought it was the springs, then the lower control arm, then finally after noticing that when driving in the rain or in a puddle the sound goes away only to worsen after all the water dries up.

Hey worth a shot.

James would they make sounds when you'd bounce the rear end up and down?

After I got my Teins installed they started squeaking a lot in the rear when I went over bumps. So the next time I was adjusting my ride height I sprayed the shocks down with a little silicone lubricant spray and that seemed to eliminate the squeaking all together.

yea, see that would of been my first reaction, but these springs have been on for nearly 60K miles and I don't think they are gonna start THAT squeek now

do you have bolts on top of your shock, not where they bolt to the car. my shocks were squeaking like a mofo (koni yellows) and i just tightened the bolts on the part below where you adjust them... it went away completely and rides 10x's better.

Yes both ways...it's a horrible squeak when it goes down then a horrible squeak going back up. Seems to be a rather long continuous squeak.
