Don't let off to fake the manual, wastes time, speed, and RPMs.

no not to fake a manual, but wont it induce less pressure on the transmission?

Dude, stop worrying about the "pressure" on the tranny. Just have fun with it. Just keep your foot to the floor while you hit up on the shifter.

The best advice I can give you is to LEARN about cars and engine mechanics. Take a class or read a book.

Sport Shifting or Gate Shifting are not anymore a factor in tranny failures than leaving it in drive.

What is the max speed for each gear?
According to Motor Trend:
1st: 42 mph
2nd: 69 mph
3rd: 105 mph
4th: 147 mph
5th: 147 mph
The 4th and 5th gears are both capped at 147 mph due to the speed limiter

Taken directly from the above link

"sport shifting" or "gate shifting" = :ghey:

If you wanted to drive a manual, you should've bought a 6 spd!

You you can hit vtec immediately when gate shifting from 1st to 2nd right?

Do your research before you make rude comments.

gate shifting has already proven itself. do a search.

Not everyone on this forum bought their car used. Those who bought their car back 2000-2001 didn't have the option for a 6spd. I know I didn't. It's not as if the dealership tells you that the 6spd is coming out in a couple years anyway.

On the serious side. I would say the best way to shift gears on your car would to not use the SS mode at all, But rather put the car in neutral, Rev your RPMs up to red line, Then shift it back into gear, And then if you really want to show then whats up shift your car into revese at 100mph, Then quickly shift it back to drive. And watch as the S2000 and 7 series BMW and any other car get left in your smoke
