I remember when I shift into SS mode the green light on the panel for D5 usually disappears and just shows the number of the gear you are in. However, today I noticed when I shift into SS mode my D5 green light still stays on.. is this normal? I could have sworn that in the past the D5 light disappears when I witch into SS mode..... But the shifting of gear seems to be ok???

I am so lost now, can someone help?

The D5 light in my 2000 TL stays lit when I am in sport-shift mode. The car has always did that over the last 3yrs that I have owned it.

 

hehe, yeah this question has come up before

the D5 light does stay on, so it's perfectly normal

the ONLY thing that's not normal is when D5 light is blinking, and that's usually b/c yer tranny just blew sky-high :shakehd:

Thanks for the confirmation.. I thought I was losing my mind with the d5 light.... good to know it stays lit. I guess it must been the RSX that the lights goes off then you are in SS mode. I had driven an RSX for a while... hehe Now I just hope that my tranny would hold up...

 

Nothing that was said here confirms that you are not losing your mind, that's only a guess..
