i thought there was a sub-forum for sound systems but i guess i was imagining things...anyway, i've recently procured some speakers for my car..and i needed some input from the sound experts on this board.

i have a set of alphasonik 6.5's and also a set of alphasonik 6x9s.
here are the specs:

my question to you is, if you just replaced the stock speakers with these, would another amp be necessary? i was also thinkin of puttin them in my friends tsx to see how they sound..does anybody have any feedback about these? i know their amps are of good quality, but this is my first experience with their speakers. thanks

 

alphasonik stuff in general is "ok" at best.

JL stuff is still superior to this.

 

Bad things will happen if you power those speakers from the stock amp

I'd either get an amp or a higher output competition deck and run it off there.

Too many things to consider here.

Those speakers might not even fit. You will need a new amp or HU.
