Exclamation Source for Replacement Brake Lines

The rear brake lines on my 2001 CL-S corroded through and were leaking, about to blow out any minute. I searched for replacement lines online. They may or may not be available from Acura, but I found them on LinestoGo.com.

Lines to Go does not list any brake lines for a CL, so I used the Acura part number that I found on acurapartswarehouse.com and searched the Line to Go site. It turns out that the 2001 CL-S shares the same brake lines as a 2001 Accord.

The kit is $179 and it replaces both rear lines from the proportioning valve to the calipers. The kit comes in sections with flared splices which makes installation a breeze. The lines fit perfectly. It took me about an hour for each side.

So if your CL brakes lines need replacing, head over to LinesToGo.com.

Acura part numbers (Right Rear) 46330-S84-A00; (Left Rear) 46340-S84-A00

If you search with either of these number you will get:

BL-1111-SS1D Honda Accord Rear Brake Line Set

The set will come with small sections that run from the brake hose to the wheel cylinder. The CL doesn't require those since it has disc brakes in the rear.

One other thing. You will need to lower the rear sub-frame about 1.5 inches to remove a bolt in a brake line bracket. Do not remove the sub-frame bolts. Just loosen them to get enough clearance.

i've interchanged nearly every part from the cls to 6th gen accord coupe. also swapped nearly everything from a sedan 6ga v6 to cls: subframes, suspension, brakes, engine, trans, gas tank, abs, axles, steering, interior, wiring, dash.

6th gen accords have drums on the dx model, 4cyl lx. the 4cyl ex, v6 lx and v6 ex have disc. 4cyls have small 10" rotors all around 4 lugs and 6cyl have 11" front and 5 lugs. cl has drums for parking brake and disc for driving. accord with discs uses a lever action on the rear disc caliper for parking brake long story short 00-02 6cyl ex coupe v6 has the closest build to cl.

1. Why would I take my car to a shop, decent or otherwise? I do all my own work.
2. Why would I spend the time and effort to fabricate brake lines when I can have brand new brake lines that were already fabricated/bent delivered to my door?

If you can do them yourself then you should be able to bend them for far less and far quicker than going with pre-fab ones. Why bother asking online if you're so capable.

I got the impression this thread was just some thinly-veiled advertisement

To each their own,
OEM Acura (as it appears?) one piece (Right Rear) 46330-S84-A00;
OEM Acura one piece Left Rear) 46340-S84-A00

Shipped to my zip code is $245.47 alone from acurapartswarehouse! :

Shipping from linestogo for BL-1111-SS1D Honda Accord Rear Brake Line Set is $0.00.

Personally, the modularity of the linestogo kit is very appealing; however, that's just me.
Furthermore, since I will probably never have to replace these lines (living in the south) and I absolutely avoid, at all cost, having anyone else work on my car(s) if possible, IMHO, this kit presents with the easiest DIY installation alternative due to its modularity.
I'd purchase it in a heart beat.
