soundproofing for wind noise

My car is pretty noisy at highway speeds. I'm thinking about dynamatting the whole interior.

Anyone done this? If so, how much work was it, was it worth it?

if you have an 01, get the newer mirrors. I did, and it made a huge improvement.

I've considered taking the plastic lining from the wheel wells to get rhyno lined.

yea, wind noise bugs me.

I also got the Yoko AVS DB tires which are supposed to be the quietest sports tire. they helped a lot.

Mine started getting noisier the older the tires get. I bought some undercoating and carefully sprayed up inside the wheel wells where the top of the strut is mounted. There is almost no undercoating there from the factory. Really hit those good front and rear. Did the spare tire well bottom and everything that wasnt coated under the car floorboards (from the bottom). Cover the exhaust pipe.

It made it better by a decibel or two but not a ton.

My stock tires have 61k on them. It is very quiet on smooth asphalt but gets noisier on rough concrete. But better now. Worth the $6 for 2 cans of the stuff and 30 minutes it took to do it. It wont stick to the plastic on the wheel well though. Just washes off over time.

I didnt know the mirrors were different. Interesting. I dont seem to hear noise from them. Mine seems to be mostly road noise.

I have a friend that also complains about his mirrors. My 03 has considerably less wind noise than his 01. I never knew they were different until he said something.

How much did you pay for the new mirrors ?
I assume it's pretty easy to change them out also ?

I have noticed more road noise lately also, think it's just because my stock tires are almost shit now.

acuraautomotiveparts.org and the mirrors were like $350 or so. The come painted, and they are very easy to swap.
