For about the last 3 weeks, I have had the car for around 4 months, I have had this annoying sound when accelerating. First off, I have an 03 auto Cl-S, with 4,000 miles on it. The past 3 weeks, when accelerating moderately to hard... I hear the nice sound the cl-s makes, yet in the background you can hear this really really high pitch type of scream. The car drives fine, and it still feels like it accelerates as fast as it used to. The sound is just annoying, and I want to know if the high pitch sound is a problem. I will be going to my Acura dealer for my first oil change in 3 days, and they need to fix a small rattle in the trunk lining. However, since I am 16, I am not sure if the service department will give me any respect. I will ask them about the whining sound, and what they can do about it, but I have a little hunch that they will not do anything about it. Therefore, I just wanted to know if any of you guys have experienced this, and whether you know how to get rid of the sound or not. Thank you

 

im 16 too. the salesmen at the acura dealer here are assholes to under 21 people. the service, on the other hand, respects me. dunno what to tell you. test the waters!

 

Just test drve another CLS at the dealer if there is no same sound then your ride has a problem...

 

lol, this whole board has a cl-s. Since no one seems to have the same experience, something is wrong. I hope the service manager will take action to solve this problem

 

go to the dealer, just dont act like a kid and they should treat ya well

 

It's kinda hard to diagnose a sound over the net. But it obviously sounds weird to you, so have it checked.

 

Always remember this....the squeaky wheel gets the grease!! just bug them until they do what you want... its your car and your right to demand they fix what you want fixed...its not like they can go spit in your food or something..
