Something uglier than the Aztec

Amazingly, a car company has managed to produce a car uglier than a Pontiac Aztec. The Honda Element takes the cake. Anybody see it in C&D?

HIDEOUS!

Sad to see it come from Honda, too.

The guy who designed the Aztec was hired by Chevy to design the new C6 Vette...kinda scary!

The Aztec is one ride that has no need for a car alarm.

I kinda like the element, it is a lot more functional than an aztec, it's inexpensive, and it does all, if I needed something like it, i would be at the dealer right now.

Maybe it's one of those things that will grow on you. At least Honda is finally taking some design risks.
Nothing beats the Aztec for shear ugliness. It looks like someone went dumpster diving in a car parts trash can and then hired a blind designer to put it together. Yellow ones actually make me wince when I see them.

Holy smack. Aztec is hideous, but this crap is definitely ugly as hell as well.
I wonder who in that board room said, "Yeah, this is a good looking machine that people will want. Let's produce it." Maybe Magoo was CEO for that day.

I saw previews of it on Motorweek. It's intended to be a surfer car...like the VW Thing of the early 70's.

It doesn't look that bad guys come on. Kinda looks like what a new Land rover Defender would probably look like. I bet it's good off road.

I'm not sure, but I think it has less of a visible wheel gap than a stock CL. :-o

I actually like the Element. I think the MDX/Pilot/CR-V are uglier. The new CR-V is UGLY! The Element is the most stylish Honda made since the NSX 13 years ago.

Looks like a cross between a hummer/ has like a truck look with a shortened bed and top. And all that ugly ass plastic or just looks like plastic.

If you get it in all black and chrome put it on 20's clear the lights, then you could prob pimp it, but stock i dont know what they were thinking.

i'm not digging the Element.
I don't think it's as nasty as the Aztec

By the way(I know this you guys can tell this) but the same guy that designed the CL and the CL type S. designed the 03 Accord Coupe. he lives like 30 or 45 mins from my house.

I am sure his house looks very plain and boring on the outside. And then the inside is stylish and comfortable....the powerplant it's connected to is quite powerful, but the damn....ah never mind i can't think of anything for the tranny problems...

I saw one in person a few weeks ago, I work in the same buiding as several car mags. It didn't have the funky paint job like in the above pictures. It was no where near as ugly as an Aztec. It actually looked kindof cool. Yes it was different, to me it looked like a cross between the new Hummer2 and some electric something or other. I don't think I'd buy one, but I think it will sell.

I think when you see them on the road, they will grow on you, unlike the Aztek, that is the ugliest car since the Gremlin. At least with the Gremlin, they had some HiPo motors.

I think they are trying to be different, and you gotta give them some props for that.

Element is hip cool ride in a Benz g500 kinda way.

Not as bad as the ASStek, but it looks like it was put together from the left-over parts bin at Honda.

that looks better than the Aztec... also, those shitty bumpers are like that for a reason, unlike the Aztec which is just shit.

it wouldn't be bad if the exterior wasn't half rubermaid, so it looks like toyotas bB has a key advantage right away.
