i know i'm whining here, but the plastic shiftgate is starting to get scratched--i've only had the car since october, and it's already starting to look beat. how much more expensive would it have been to use a polished metal gate instead??? this is the kind of stuff that keeps a car from looking good years down the road and holding it's value. where can we voice these complaints to acura???

so a nice polished gate, carbon-fiber instead of 'bowling ball', real fog lights, wider tires...

The piece that goes around your shifter support shaft.

As for Chrome Dipping the existing shift gates, Would that be possible? Or would the shiftgate melt due to the high Temp the chrome is at?

Maybe we can Carve one out of aluminum?

 

I was talking to a friend who does restoration and body work on various cars and he said they might be able to do something in Polished Aluminum.. if there was enough of them to make a little profit on... and he kinda threw a price of $50 at me.. let me know if anyone is interested.. and i will convey our collective wishes to him.

Put me down for $50 for a polished aluminum shift gate. I'll gamble without a picture but I'd also be good for a couple hundred to replace the bowling ball trim pieces if it the shift gate comes out good.

 

Man... just to replace the crappy ass wood shit from Acura it cost $300... so what would you expect to pay for custom made REAL wood, aluminum, or carbon fiber trim.
