Somebody Lightly Hit My CL....Question About The Paint

I was at my friends school last weekend and somebody hit my car in the middle of the night. It looks like they were pulling out of the parking spot next to mine and cut the wheel a little too much.

Not surprisingly they didn't leave their info or anything, but the damage isn't too bad. There's one pretty deep scratch about 3 inches long and some more smaller ones, but the rest seems to be just rubbed off paint. Luckily no dent. Sorry about the bad pic quality...

My question is how do I remove the white paint without damaging my paint? And what should I do about the long scratch?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Rubbing compound and follow with wax. If the compound doesn't take off the white paint, try a clay bar. Again, follwed by wax.

Hard to tell by the pics but it sure looks dented to me. I'm sure you would know though considering you can look right at it.

Claybar should get rid of any marks. Just make sure you use alot of lube. After that you will get a better idea what can be done. You may only have a few scratches left & you may be able to get them buffed out. If not, put some clear nail polish or clear coat in a bottle over the scratches to prevent rust. The bumper isn't needed cause it's plastic.

Yeah claybar and spray wax with take it off. Might want to claybar the entire car if you have the time. That shit works great.

Okay I'll try the claybar and wax. It does look dented in that pic but it's just an optical illusion. I think waxing will get all of the scratches out but the big one. It seems to be the only significant one.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm kinda bummed but I realize it could have been much worse. I think once I get it cleaned up a little bit it will hardly be noticable. Thanks again.

And hopefully karma fucks up whoever did this
