off topic, but have you thought about cf hood or trunk. it appears your going the most cost effective route, but i'm sure those would net some significanct weight losses.

my friend did it... the paint job came out very nice too suprisingly...

a carbon fiber hood can be painted. any reasons why you don't want to add a cf hood and trunk?

Yes, but you will add some weight to the hood in paint and primer.
