My girl and I were on our way home from dinner last night in separate cars, when this punk ass tried to cut off my girl. He failed, and started honking at her, which pissed me off. So we decided to drive really slow so he woule be stuck behind us. Finally, a third lane opened up and he sped around us but hit the red light. All 3 of us lined up, with the other guy being a previous model 328i coupe. Behind my girl was a '99 model civic that looked/sounded pretty tight. The light turned green and I wasn't really thinking much at the time, however the beemer took off, so I decided to play as well. I got a late jump, but by the time I hit 2nd gear he was well behind me. However, right on my ass was that civic that cut around my girl and tried to catch up. I ended up shutting down around 75-80, just in the beginning of 3rd, and I was pulling a length or two ahead of the civic. We hit the next red light and I put down my window and say "good race". There were two guys in the civic, who looked rather light, like myself. I then proceeded to ask what he had under the hood. He said he had a b16. Judging by what else I could see, it was lowered, had lightweight volks, loud ass exhaust, I'm assuming intake and headers, and that's all that I could tell. They were cool and we went our own way. I shouldn't have raced, especially in front of my girl, but I was angry. Anyway, that's all, it was fun. Peace

anyone know how fast a civic coupe w/ a b16 and some mods can be? It seemed rather quick. Thanks.

 

the only b16 and 20s ive seen were turboed and shit did they move... one of the honda shops i've been to had an older Si with a motor swap and worked internals with a giant custom turbo and dynoed 501 whp... i didn't believe it until i saw the dyno sheet and then the car. period. as much as i hate hondas and civics even more, they can be made extremely fast.

 

civics are light as hell too, parts for them are relatively cheap. everyone knocks on civics since its the omnipresent ricer-mobile but... goddamn they can be made to fly.
