Solution to all door dents!!!
I hate the freaking door dents! Although I try real hard to avoid it, I already got like three of them. It really piss me off! You know what? I think that almost all door dents are caused by the small number of losers who don't give sh*t about other people's cars. Most of them are ugly, low educated and drive big American made cars. They are also damn fat so they have to open the door very wide to just get out. The worst example is the middle-aged fat women with big 2-door American cars. These cars are specially design to do maximum damage to the other cars by having the oversized long heavy door with reinforced door hinge spring. There should be a new law to put the mandatory rubber pad on all these cars and send their owners to the 1000 hours traffic school!

The previous idiot who parks next to my wive had a Cadilac Seville with those stainless steel metal door guards on them.
If you ever park next to a car with a metal door guard, do yourself a favor and move to another apace (or leave a ton of room). The strips that I've seen are usually covered with paint and nicks. The A**holes that buy metal (not plastic) strips, are only interested in covering up the chips and paint from hundreds of dinged cars and are ready to inflict more punishment on more nice cars!
